Another Great Podcasting Resource

When I was in San Antonio, TX a few weeks ago for the ELI Annual Meeting, we had a very enthusiastic participant in our audience during our presentation: Your 2.0 Life: Models and Methods to Meet Learners’ Needs in a Technological Age (Innovative Practice). Doug Dangler, Ben McCorkle, and Time Barrow’s “Expanding Composition

MyCompLab 2.0 with Grade Tracker from Pearson/Longman

I cannot express how happy I am that we have adopted a new textbook for our ENG101 courses at SMCC. The old text did not have a very good online supplement and it was expensive. The new text from Pearson Longman is less expensive and offers more, including an excellent online element called MyCompLab.
MyCompLab [...]

Online Classes Not For Everyone

I’ve come to the conclusion that the students who take online classes take them because they think it is some how easier than a traditional face-to-face class. Let me just say that they are wrong!!
